RIFT is a visualization of Iceland's renewable energy systems. Once reliant on fossil fuels, this nation has converted its entire energy system within the last century alone. The current Icelandic power grid is dependent on hydroelectric and geothermal energy, both of which are readily available within its volcanic, coastal environment. They have revolutionized sustainable culture through their complete coexistence with the land and its people. By combining art, research, and science, I hope to expose flaws in our own designs alongside the potential for real change.
